The High Park Tennis Club participates in inter-city or inter-county tennis leagues competing against other clubs in the city.
**Our first practice is this Sunday May 8, 2011, 5pm-7pm at Eglinton Flats, come out and find out more if you are interested (we do not have try-outs like other clubs).
The season starts in early May and runs to the end of June or July depending on the league. The team(s) are open to all high intermediate and advanced level club members, men and women, who would like to play competitive tennis on a regular basis.
Practices, both men and women’s, are held once a week at Eglinton Flats (at the corner of Jane and Eglinton Avenue West) usually Sunday afternoons for two hours. The practices are led by a qualified OTA instructor. Team members are expected to commit to regular weekly practices for the duration of the competitive season.
Matches are also held once a week, alternately “away” and “at home”. Home games are played at Eglinton Flats.
The cost of participating in the team is approximately $60. Participation of our team members is heavily subsidized by the Club and each team member is expected to pay their club membership fee promptly and volunteer some time back to the Club. See the Volunteer page for more information about areas needing volunteer help.
For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org and your inquiry will be directed to the team captain.
